Nickent Driver Wins for 6th Time in 2008, This Time on LPGA Tour

A second-year golfer on the LPGA Tour won her first tournament Sunday powered by a 9-degree Nickent 4DX Driver. The 19- year-old Korean born player won the State Farm Classic in a playoff in the tournament that has become known for the surprising disqualification of one of the games most popular stars for failing to sign her score card.

The State Farm Classic champion joined the ever expanding list of Korean winners on the LPGA Tour, finishing regulation at 18-under par.

She has 3 top 10 finishes in 2008, including two straight since switching to the 4DX Driver. She now sits 14th on the LPGA money list.

The win is the 6th win on the U.S. professional tours this year for the 4DX series of drivers. This includes wins by Nickent staff players Kris Blanks (4DX SE Driver), Bryan DeCorso (4DX TSpec), David Mathis (4DX Evolver) Ewan Porter (4DX TSpec) and two non-endorsed players who play the driver strictly for its performance benefits, including the newest winner on the LPGA circuit.

All six players who have won with a 4DX Driver in 2008 have been 1st time winners.

"I don't think it is a coincidence that all six of the players who have won with the 4DX drivers are first time winners," said Nickent Director of Tour Operations Josh Trivett. "It's just that good of a driver that it can elevate your game to a new level."

The State Farm Champion gained her status via the Tour School in 2006 in which she played as an amateur. She did well enough in her first season last year to retain her exempt status but in her second season had already passed her 2007 earnings prior to this week.

Over the past 4 years, Nickent has 31 victories on the Nationwide and PGA tours, and have now been a part of 5 wins on the LPGA Tour. The LPGA goes international for the next three weeks with events in France, England and Canada before returning to the US for the Safeway event in Oregon.
