Customer Service and Inside Sales Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility for building inside sales and customer service team for rapidly growing golf club brand.
• Included in this primary responsibility would be making sure the company is serving the needs of retail customers and that the sales team is driving incremental sales of golf products to authorized retail accounts and green grass golf pro shops.
• Must hire, train, manage, and motivate a team of inside sales and customer service representatives.
• Managing and assisting timely and accurate order processing with Executive Sales Team, Outside Sales Representatives, Inside Sales Representatives and Customer Service Agents.
• Must be point person for all-important sales needs at the corporate headquarters and in dealing with key accounts across the US and Canada.
• Work closely with credit managers to make sure that customer orders meet credit guidelines, and that customers remain accounts in good credit standing.
• Follow orders logistically to ensure timely and accurate shipments to customers.
• Work closely to generate, create, track and distribute sales reports and inventory and product availability reports, including key sales programs and initiatives implemented for the inside sales team.
• Must be able to suggest report and systems improvements as needed to improve service.
• Improve business-to-business Internet site and functionality for customer and sales rep usage. Knowledge of business-to-business systems is critical.
• Track and administer successful sales programs. Assisting with customer events, developing promotions and advertising campaigns are a necessity.
• Lead inside sales team to focus on added value inbound and outbound calling.
• Lead top customer service representatives to handle needs of charter and national accounts.
• Manage entry-level service reps to handle administrative tasks, account openings, return authorizations and order entry.

Experience

• Golf industry experience at retail or wholesale level highly desired.
• 2 years inside sales and service experience with successful record of growing
• Sales and meeting customer service benchmarks.
• 1 year managing an inside sales or service team which calls upon an established retail account base.
• Passion for customer service excellence and for leading a performance driven team.
• Interest in sales and marketing of consumer brands.
• Excellent written communication skills with keen proofreading abilities.
• Thorough data entry skills.
• Clear concise verbal communication skills with a can do customer service attitude.
• Proficient technical abilities to utilize Sales related applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to supply a wide variety a sales tracking reports.

Job Responsibilities

• Highly motivated individual must have the ability to open new accounts, service existing accounts in a professional manner, handle return authorizations and perform order entry.
• Take inbound and make outbound sales calls to existing and prospective golf retailers.
• Follow orders logistically to ensure timely and accurate shipments to customers.
• Managing and assisting timely and accurate order processing with Executive Sales Team and Outside Sales Representatives.
• Work closely with credit managers to make sure that customer orders meet credit guidelines, and that customers remain accounts in good credit standing.

Experience

• Golf industry experience at retail or wholesale level highly desired.
